Akwatiakwaso Christmas project 2014
Christmas for us all is a traditional moment of serenity, as it is for millions of people worldwide, especially for children.
But there are places where the joy of being together it's not possible; places where war, poverty, or lack of resources impede even just from getting together and rediscovering ourselves as part of the human community.
Maame Mary's Foundation in operational collaboration with Ofie Support Unit promoted a small action to support the Akwatiakwaso village children, and those from a settlement near.
Twenty kilos of new clothes for children (provided by Maame Mary's Foundation) will be distributed during a small celebration (organized by Ofie Support Unit team) which will take place on December 25, from 10:30 am to 3 pm approximately.
This is just a small step to start making clear to our friends, and especially to children, elders and families there, that from today they are no longer alone.
Little drops of water make a big ocean.
For those wishing to contribute: you can contact us or Maame Mary's Foundation.
Many hands make light work.
