International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI), a project launched in 2008 in Ghana.

The importance in sharing information and data, in line with the ideals that accompany the Open Source movement, has been extended to cover several fields of human activity. Among them, significantly, the cooperation and development sector. In 2008, in Ghana, has been started the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI). It's a project involving multiple stakeholders (like States, civil society organizations, experts in relevant fields) with the aim of improving transparency in the management of humanitarian aid and cooperation processes.
